Cedarville, OhioCedarville University will host writer/teacher Erin McGraw and editor John Wilson in two days of literary events on campus. McGraw will visit campus on Tuesday, April 22, while Wilson will visit on Thursday, April 24.
McGraw, who teaches creative writing at The Ohio State University, will offer a question and answer session on "Graduate Creative Writing Programs" at 3 p.m. in Room 105 of the Milner Business Administration Building. The author of "Bodies at Sea," "Lies of the Saints," and "The Baby Tree," McGraw will give a fiction reading in the Stevens Student Center Theater at 7 p.m. A reception and book signing will follow the reading.
McGraw`s stories have appeared in the "Atlantic Monthly," "Image," "Southern Review," "Ascent," and other magazines. She is the recipient of Yaddo and Wallace Stegner fellowships, an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist grant, the Pushcart Prize, and the Boyce Award for Excellence in Teaching from the University of Cincinnati.
Wilson, who is editor of "Christianity Today`s Books and Culture" and series editor of "The Best Christian Writing," will speak on "God, Satan, and the Media" at 2:30 p.m. in Room 224 of the Dixon Ministry Center. He will present "What Do You Mean by ‘Christian Writing?`" at 7:30 p.m. in Room 201 of the Tyler Digital Communication Center. A reception and book signing will follow.
