Cedarville, Ohio - The Cedarville University Concert Chorale and Men`s Glee Club will present a joint concert on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville campus.
The concert begins with the glee club singing traditional male-voice classics by Grieg, Tallis, and Thompson as well as anthems, hymn arrangements, and lively spirituals. The `Ville Singers, a newly formed small ensemble selected from the glee club, will also be featured.
The concert chorale`s portion of the program will include an assortment of shorter works by Durufle, Verdi, Hahn, Parker, and Whitacre. In addition, the arts ensemble, a newly selected group from the concert chorale, will perform vocal chamber music.
Each group is directed by Dr. Lyle Anderson, a resident of Cedarville and professor of music at Cedarville University. Members of the men`s glee club and the concert chorale with local ties include Andrew Kibelbek and Brigette Hunter of Xenia, Jesse Lansford of Jamestown, and Amy Hollins of Beavercreek.
