Cedarville University Faculty Member to Give Flute Performance

Cedarville, Ohio-Lori Akins will give a flute and piccolo recital on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville campus. Akins will perform various works, including pieces by G.F. Handel, Robert Dick, Camille Saint-Saƫns, Carl Nielsen, Carl Reinecke, and Lowell Liebermann. Joining Akins in the recital will be pianist Dianne Frazer Cross. Akins is an adjunct faculty member at Cedarville University. She holds a B.M.E. and M.M. from The Ohio State University, and is a flutist with the Springfield Symphony, Ohio Valley Symphony, and the Columbus Symphony Orchestras. Akins resides in Dublin.
