Cedarville, OhioDr. Robert W. Milliman has been named dean of the School of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Bible at Cedarville University. Milliman will assume his new responsibilities July 1.
Milliman currently serves as a professor and assistant to the dean at Central Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS) in Plymouth, Minn. Over the course of his career, Milliman has served in various administrative and education positions, including chair of the CBTS New Testament department, associate professor of theology at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wis., and principal at Faith Baptist Christian School in St. Paul, Minn. He also has 13 years of pastoral experience.
Milliman earned undergraduate degrees at the University of Minnesota and Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, Minn. He holds Th.M. and M.Div. degrees from Central Baptist Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in theological studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill.
Dr. Duane Wood, Cedarville`s academic vice president said, "Dr. Milliman has had a wide range of teaching and educational administration experience. He is known for his energetic, organized, interactive style of leadership. His understanding and articulation of the role that the disciplines within his school play in a Christian liberal arts education will enable him to further develop the identity and contributions of the School of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Bible to the overall mission of Cedarville University."
