Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University senior Ian Ellis has been selected to give the invocation at an Ohio delegation breakfast of the Republican National Convention. He will pray at the Thursday, Sept. 2 breakfast, which is dedicated to Ohio Lt. Governor Jennette Bradley. The delegation breakfast is part of the festivities of this week`s 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City. A political science major, Ellis is a member of the Cedarville University College Republicans and chair of the Ohio College Republican Federation (OCRF). He and two other OCRF leaders are in New York to assist the Ohio delegation with event set-up and hosting. "I consider it an honor to represent OCRF and Cedarville University by lifting up the name of the Lord in prayer before the delegates and guests at the Republican National Convention," Ellis shared. Ellis, who is a Martinsburg, W.Va., native, plans to attend law school after graduation. -30-
