Cedarville University Student To Give Senior Recital

Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University student Kyle McCarrell will present his senior trombone recital on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville University campus. A music education and trombone performance major, McCarrell will present various arrangements by Bourgeois, von Weber, and others. McCarrell will be accompanied by pianist Sarah Thengvall and trombonists Ryan Rotman, Christine Newhard, Aaron Carpenter, and Tim Rosie. All are Cedarville University students. The son of Jerry and Barbara McCarrell of Quarryville, Pa. McCarrell is a 2000 graduate of Solanco High School. McCarrell has studied under Deanne Gingrich of Lancaster, Pa.; Tim Anderson, principal trombone of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra; and Andrew Millat, principal trombone of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
