Cedarville, Ohio - Cedarville University will host a Pastors Summit on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. More than 400 church leaders are expected to attend the event in Cedarville`s Dixon Ministry Center. Dr. David Jeremiah will be the featured speaker.
Jeremiah is the senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, Calif., and chancellor of Christian Heritage College. His radio broadcast, "Turning Point," is heard on more than 900 radio outlets including The PATH®, CDR Radio, a community-supported media ministry of Cedarville University. Jeremiah has authored many books, including "Escape the Coming Night," "The Power of Encouragement," "Invasion of Other Gods," "What the Bible Says About Angels," "Prayer - The Great Adventure," "God in You," and "Gifts from God."
"Dr. Jeremiah has been the featured speaker at the Pastors Summit several times in the past, most recently in January 2002," said Janice Supplee, director of external relations. "The pastors and church leaders who attend the Summit always appreciate Dr. Jeremiah`s outstanding preaching, relevant themes, and practical wisdom. He is a ‘pastor`s pastor` with a heart for the local church and its leaders."
As a part of Cedarville`s service to local churches, Pastors Summit provides valuable ministry resources to pastors. The one-day event refreshes church leaders through the teaching ministry of a guest speaker. By spending time on campus and meeting the students, pastors also experience firsthand the outstanding Christian education that Cedarville provides.
