Cedarville University Welcomes New Counselor

Cedarville, Ohio-Jeffrey Fulmer is the newest counselor in the counseling services department at Cedarville University. Fulmer assumed his new responsibilities on Sept. 2. Prior to this position, Fulmer served as the director of Bethany Christian Services, a pregnancy and adoption counseling agency in Pittsburgh, Pa. He also worked as an international adoptions specialist at Lutheran Social Services in Cincinnati. Fulmer earned his undergraduate degree in criminal justice at The Pennsylvania State University. He holds an M.S.W. from Marywood University in Scranton, Pa. John Potter, director of counseling services at Cedarville University, said, "When you talk with Jeffrey, you are struck by his genuine, God-given care and concern for people in need. Coupled with his extensive administrative background and personal experience helping families as a social worker, Jeffrey will bring valuable insight and expertise to both our department and the students with whom he counsels." "I was so lost when I was a college student," Fulmer shared. "This is an opportunity to allow the Lord to use me to bring healing and restoration to students who have encountered obstacles along their paths. I am also very excited to be a part of a wonderful team in counseling services. They have welcomed me with open arms." Fulmer`s wife, Christine, works as a professor in the social work program at Cedarville University. They reside in Cedarville. -30-
