Cedarville, OhioCedarville University has named Mary Howard, CFO and executive vice president of Nu-Way Industries, as its newest trustee. Howard will serve a three-year term.
Dr. Bill Brown, president of Cedarville University, stated, "Mary Howard is one of those unique individuals whose astute business sense is only superseded by her love for Christ. She is an exciting addition to the Cedarville board."
A 1981 graduate of Cedarville, Howard holds a J.D. from DePaul University and is a licensed attorney. She used her background in computers, accounting, and corporate legal counsel to help her father`s precision metal fabricating business Nu-Way Industries grow from $5 million in annual sales to more than $50 million. In February 2001, Howard and Nu-Way`s vice president purchased the Des Plaines, Ill., business from Howard`s father and uncle and became co-owners.
A resident of Arlington Heights, Ill., Howard serves her community as a member of the Des Plaines Economic Development Commission. She is active in her church, where she teaches Sunday school and serves as an Awana leader.
