Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University`s choral ensembles and symphonic band will each present a concert on Friday, Nov. 5 as part of the Parents Weekend celebration. These concerts will be held in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center. In addition, there will be a choral chamber music concert on Tuesday, Nov. 9 in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center.
On Nov. 5, the choral ensembles will sing at 3 p.m.; each group will perform several selections. The groups and their respective directors include: concert chorale and men`s glee club (Lyle Anderson of Cedarville), Jubilaté (Roger O`Neel of Xenia), women`s choir (Beth Cram Porter of Cedarville), and jazz singers (Laila Kteily O`Sullivan of Springfield). The symphonic band will play at 8 p.m. under the direction of Mike DiCuirci of Xenia.
The Nov. 9 concert will begin at 4:30 p.m. and features two newly formed vocal ensembles: the `Ville Singers and the arts ensemble. The arts ensemble is comprised of eight singers selected from the concert chorale, and the `Ville Singers are comprised of four members selected from the men`s glee club.
