Cedarville, Ohio—The Cedarville University Debate Team will host sessions of "The People Speak" discussion series on Tuesday, Oct. 5 and Thursday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center. The topic will be "American Power and Global Security." Director of Debate Rebecca Sietman explained, "This year, when global policies have taken center stage, we need to bring the discussion of America`s role in the world to the most important decision-makers — the people!" The People Speak was created in 2003 by the United Nations Foundation and a nonpartisan group of concerned organizations. It provides opportunities for people around the world to discuss policies affecting their futures. The event is free, and the public is encouraged to attend. For more information, call Sietman at 937-766-3298 or e-mail her at rsietman@cedarville.edu. -30-
