Cedarville, Ohio—For Dr. Charles Clevenger, music is much more than a career. The Cedarville resident plainly reveals that in his new CD, recently released by E Media Ink. "Soli Deo Gloria" features Clevenger performing classical favorites and his own piano arrangements of traditional hymn tunes. Included are classics such as Bach`s "Organ Prelude in G minor," Beethoven`s "Für Elise," Debussy`s "Clair de Lune," and the timeless hymns "A Mighty Fortress is our God" and "My Faith Has Found A Resting Place." Clevenger, an active concert pianist and professor of music at Cedarville University, recorded his "Soli Deo Gloria" CD "to demonstrate the integration of my career and my faith," he explained, "and to inspire my listeners to think of ways to apply that principle to their lives." Clevenger, who has taught at Cedarville University since 1982, holds a doctorate in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati`s College-Conservatory of Music. He maintains a large teaching studio and is an active contest adjudicator. "Soli Deo Gloria" is available for $15 at the Cedarville University Bookstore or at www.clevengerstudios.com. -30-
