Piano and Band Concerts Slated at Cedarville

Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University will hold both a piano ensemble and a symphonic band concert on Monday, Nov. 21. The piano ensemble performance will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall, while the symphonic band concert starts at 8 p.m. in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center. The 11-member piano ensemble will give a diverse concert with selections written for two pianos by Bach, Mozart, Infante, and Moszkowski. The group is directed by Cedarville resident Dr. John Mortensen. The 92-member symphonic band will perform selections such as "Chester," "Sound the Bells," and "Overture" from CANDIDE. The guest conductor will be Russell Mikkelson, the director of bands at The Ohio State University. Admission is free for both events and the public is invited. For more information, call 937-766-7728.
