Cedarville, OhioCedarville University, the University`s Center for Political Studies, and CDR RadioThe PATH® will present the roundtable "The Ethics of Faith-Based Policy" on Tuesday, Apr. 12 at 7 p.m. The event will be held in the Recital Hall of Cedarville`s Dixon Ministry Center.
Dr. Mark Caleb Smith, director of Cedarville`s Center for Political Studies, explained, "This inaugural roundtable examines one way faith, politics, and public policy interact." The evening`s focus on faith-based initiatives will include presentations by Krista Rush Sisterhen, director of the Ohio Governor`s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives; Dr. John Forren, assistant professor of political science at Miami (Ohio) University; Stephen Veltri, fellow at the Center for the Study of Democratic Citizenship at the University of Cincinnati; and David Zanotti, president of the Ohio Roundtable. Cedarville`s own Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riano, assistant professor of political science, will serve as moderator. A question and answer session will follow.
The roundtable is the first of a series of symposia, lectures, and roundtable discussions planned at Cedarville University. The series is meant to highlight issues relevant to the expression of an intentionally biblical worldview in the political arena.
