Cedarville, OhioCedarville University will host Adobe® Photoshop® guru Ben Willmore for the three-day Photoshop® Seminar "Beyond the Basics" Thursday, Oct. 20-Saturday, Oct. 22. The event is sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning at Cedarville University.
Whether you are a photographer, video editor, graphic designer, teacher, student, or hobbyist, this three-day seminar will help you move beyond the basics to a higher level of Photoshop® understanding. Unlike the quick tip seminars prevalent today, Willmore`s seminar offers an in-depth look at how Photoshop® really operates. You`ll not only learn Photoshop®`s most essential features; you`ll develop the deep understanding needed to eliminate your frustrations and produce the highest quality images possible.
To date, Willmore has personally taught more than 45,000 Photoshop® users on three continents. His descriptions of curves and channels are thought to be the best in the industry, and his breakthrough teaching style of "not-just-how-but-why" has made him the in-house instructor of choice for companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Adobe® Systems, America Online, the U.S. Air Force, LexisNexis, and Fisher-Price Toys. His award-winning, best-selling book "Adobe® Photoshop® Studio Techniques" has been called, "Arguably, one of the best Photoshop® books ever written," by "Photoshop® User" Publisher Jim Workman. He is co-author (with Jack Davis) of another best-seller, "How to Wow: Photoshop® for Photographers," as well as "Up to Speed: Photoshop® CS2." In 2004 he was inducted into the Photoshop® Hall of Fame at Photoshop® World.
The seminar will adjourn in the Stevens Student Center of Cedarville University each day from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration includes Willmore`s newly released book "Adobe® Photoshop® CS2 Studio Techniques" (a $50 value), refreshments, daily lunches, and prizes. Tickets start at $270. For more information or to register, visit www.cedarville.edu/photoshop.
In addition, Willmore will have a book signing at Books and Company, 350 E. Stroop Rd., in Kettering on Thursday, Oct. 20. The 7 p.m. free event will give visitors the opportunity to hear Willmore`s insights on his "Adobe® Photoshop® CS2 Studio Techniques."
