“I’m getting to do exactly what I’ve always wanted to do and studied to do. My dream has been to make documentaries, and now I’m getting paid to do just that!”

That’s how Sarah Bowman describes her life since leaving Cedarville. Armed with a degree in electronic media, Bowman headed to Los Angeles after graduating in 2004 and landed a job with Original Productions. Original Productions produces documentaries that are shown on cable channels.

As a freelance producer, Bowman is making a splash in cable programming. She just finished producing a television documentary on law enforcement that will air on the Discovery Channel. “It was really exciting. I got to wear a bullet-proof vest and document law enforcement officers catching bad guys!” she shared.

Bowman says Cedarville prepared her well for the opportunities she is enjoying. “Cedarville instilled a sense of excellence,” she explained. “In everything — classes, projects, etc. — I was taught to do everything well. And that has helped me in my career.”
