Cedarville, Ohio-"Cancer Prevention and Early Detection" is the topic of a free lunchtime seminar offered at Cedarville University on Thursday, Nov. 2. This hour-long session, starting at noon, will cover the early signs of cancer as well as healthy habits which can reduce the risk of the disease. The seminar will be in Room 381 of the Engineering, Nursing, and Science Center. Attendees may bring a bag lunch.
Amy Voris, M.S., AOCN, CNS, will be the featured speaker. Voris is an assistant professor of nursing at Cedarville University and has had lengthy clinical experience in oncology nursing.
The seminar is sponsored by the Wellness Center - a branch of the Cedarville University Department of Nursing. The Wellness Center offers seminars to the public throughout the year on topics such as cancer prevention, stress reduction, diet, and fitness training.
