Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University will present the talents of its women’s choir in concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16.
Directed by Associate Professor of Vocal Music Beth Cram Porter (Cedarville resident), the choir will perform a myriad of pieces, including works by Russian composer Pavel Chesnokov and Spanish composer Tomás Luis de Victoria. The concert will also feature various spirituals and psalms, such as My God Is So High; Go Down, Moses; and Hear My Prayer, O Lord (Psalm 102:1-2, 11-13).
The women’s choir is comprised of 50 voices, selected by audition. Their extensive repertoire embraces all historical periods and styles of music.
The concert will take place in the Recital Hall of Cedarville’s Dixon Ministry Center. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, call 937-766-7728.
