Cedarville University Offers Look in to Fields of Business and Nursing for High School Students

Cedarville, Ohio-High school students (public, private, and home school) from the Dayton area can explore the fields of business and nursing firsthand at Cedarville University`s Business Day and Nursing Day, both on Saturday, Feb. 25. Those interested in nursing will have the opportunity to attend an introduction to their respective fields, observe demonstrations, and interact with University students, faculty, and alumni. Parents can attend special sessions on preparing for the program and gaining financial aid. A Q & A panel of Cedarville nursing graduates will shed light on what nurses do and how Cedarville prepares future nurses. Nursing resources such as the Barrett Clinical Lab, which is equipped with industry-standard technology for on-site learning of basic clinical skills, and the 20-station multi media lab will be open for viewing. There will be a demonstration on how various computer programs are used in nursing. Cedarville`s Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (B.S.N.) is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Ohio Board of Regents, and the Ohio Board of Nursing. Students interested in business can attend a session about Cedarville University and its department of business administration, experience hands-on introductions to different business careers, and interact with University students, faculty, and alumni. Special sessions for parents will address subjects such as financial aid. Cedarville University offers six majors in business: accounting, finance, international studies: global economics and international business, management, management information systems, and marketing. The department of business administration is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Both Nursing Day and Business Day are free, and registration begins at 10 a.m. Students planning to stay overnight in the residence halls must make reservations by February 14.
