Cedarville, Ohio-“Breast Cancer Awareness” is the topic of a free lunchtime seminar offered at Cedarville University on Thursday, Sept. 28. This hour-long session, starting at noon, will educate women about their health care and the latest findings on breast cancer risks and early detection. The seminar will be in Room 381 of the Engineering, Nursing, and Science Center and is open to women only. Attendees may bring a bag lunch.
Dr. Janet Conway, a breast cancer survivor, will be the speaker. Dr. Conway is a registered nurse and a senior professor in the Cedarville Department of Nursing. She has been teaching at Cedarville for 25 years and is currently instructing in adult care (including cancer nursing).
“Breast Cancer Awareness” is sponsored by the Wellness Center - a branch of the Cedarville University Department of Nursing. The Wellness Center offers seminars to the public throughout the year on topics such as cancer prevention, stress reduction, diet, and fitness training.
