Cedarville, Ohio-Melissa Fryrear, director of the Gender Issues department within the Government and Public Policy division for Focus on the Family, recently spoke at Cedarville University.
Actively involved in public speaking, writing, and educating others on a wide range of subjects related to homosexuality, Fryrear’s insight into gender and sexuality issues comes from her own experience having formerly lived as a lesbian for a decade. She also has extensive experience counseling thousands of individuals and families affected by same-sex attraction.
A frequent media guest, Fryrear has appeared on dozens of radio and television programs, as well as having been featured in numerous articles and books, including Dr. James Dobson’s Marriage Under Fire. She is also a keynote speaker at Focus on the Family’s Love Won Out conference.
