Hercules CEO to Speak at Cedarville Series

Cedarville, Ohio-Larry Seawell, president and CEO of The Hercules Tire and Rubber Company, will speak at Cedarville University on Monday, Nov. 13 as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series. Sponsored by the CU Department of Business Administration, the program begins at 3 p.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall.

Seawell joined Hercules in 1994 as chief financial officer. He served in that role until his promotion to senior vice president in 2004 and to president and CEO in May 2005. Today Hercules is a leading integrated tire marketer and worldwide distributor of replacement tires, with 450 employees and revenue of more than $400 million.

Prior to joining Hercules, Seawell held various senior leadership positions with Ports Petroleum and Bauer Corporation, a specialty manufacturer of climbing equipment. A Cedarville University alumnus, he earned an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
