PlanetWisdom, the discipleship conference for students developed by WisdomWorks Ministries, included in their fall tour a stop at Cedarville University on October 27-28. During the two-day conference, thousands of students engaged in Bible teaching, worship, and fun-filled learning. The conference featured Mark Matlock, Sean McDowell, The Skit Guys, and worship from Addison Road. The focus of the conference was Micah 6:8, as well as the Great Commandment and Great Commission.
Youth workers and parents speak highly of the impact the PlanetWisdom conferences has on middle school and high school students, especially because of the solid biblical teaching that takes place during the weekend. Cecil Linke, pastor of student ministries at Fellowship Bible Church North in Richardson, Texas, said, “PlanetWisdom is a great way to give students an authentic and relevant look into the Scriptures — something missing from many ‘feel good’ conferences today.”
Mark Matlock, founder of WisdomWorks and featured speaker, is also the author of several books for students, including Don’t Buy the Lie
, Living a Life that Matters
, Dirty Faith
, Smart Faith
. Sean McDowell, also a teacher at the event, is the author of Ethix: Being Bold in a Whatever World
With partners like Youth Specialties, Sonlife, and Compassion, and sponsors like Biola University, Cedarville University, Grace University, John Brown University, and Northwestern College, PlanetWisdom is a trusted event that changes the lives of thousands of students each year.
