CU students earn US Army Airborne Wings

by Public Relations Office - Cedarville, OH

I submitted a news tip a few weeks ago that my son, R. Zachary Freed, and also Richard Brodt (not sure about spelling) were awarded their airborne wings (parachutist qualification) from the US Army Airborne School at Ft. Benning.  This is a big deal in the Army - one of the toughest schools in the Army, and as many as four CU Army ROTC cadets will have graduated from it this summer.  I am sure you can contact the Centtral State Army ROTC battalion for details.  If I missed the publication of this in your news updates, please forgive me and make sure that the two CU cadets finishing this week are recognized.  If this is not newsworthy, I would like an explanation why not.  We are a nation at war and the foundation of the Central State Army ROTC battalion are its CU cadets - being prepared to serve their nation and their Lord in faraway and dangerous places.  At least extend to me, a Cedarville dad, the courtesy of a response that you did not extend to me the first time.
