Cedarville, Ohio—Birthed in the bayou and cultivated in Chicago, jazz is alive and well at Cedarville University. On December 5, the University’s jazz band will “swing hard, to entertain for an hour,” promises director Michael P. DiCuirci.

The stylistically varied program will feature “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman”, “Swingin’ for the Fences” and “Blue Skies”, just to name a few. Vocalist Robert Reid, a Cedarville resident, will accompany many of the selections. DiCuirci is a professor of instrumental music.
