Cedarville, Ohio-This New Year resolve to exercise your mind by participating in a non-credit continuing education class.

Beginning Mandarin Chinese
    Learn to recognize common Chinese scripts and characters as well as understand and verbalize the Mandarin dialect. Included is an overview of basic family dynamics, cultural and religious expressions, along with commonplace customs and lifestyles. Registration deadline is January 16; classes begin January 21.

Beginning American Sign Language
    Open up a whole new world of communication by learning sign language! This introductory course is designed to provide basic skills in recognizing current signs used to communicate both expressively and receptively with deaf individuals. Registration deadline is January 23; classes begin January 28.

EMT-Basic
    Make a difference in the community through skilled emergency medical care! Instruction, laboratory practice and clinical experience, will prepare participants to obtain state EMT-Basic certification. Classes meet in the evening and some Saturdays. Registration deadline is January 15; classes begin January 17.

Reading Rate and Comprehension
    Learn to use a variety of survey, reading and self-pace techniques to increase reading rate and comprehension. Registration deadline is January 16; classes begin January 21.
