Cedarville, Ohio—Dr. William E. Brown, president of Cedarville University, has released the second edition of his book, “Making Sense of Your World: A Biblical Worldview.”
“When Dr. Gary Phillips and I wrote this book,” shares Brown, “it was the first textbook on worldviews from a Christian perspective that described the nature, development and application of worldviews.”
The new edition includes a forward by Dr. Norman Geisler, a worldview expert and close friend of Brown, as well as several new chapters by John Stonestreet, former assistant professor at Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn, now with Summit Ministries in Colorado.
The book has added material on Islam, an updated and expanded recommended reading list and revised teaching tools with study questions and case studies.
“The update and editing make it relevant for today’s world,” explains Brown. “We asked John Stonestreet to add a chapter on postmodernism and one on how people go about choosing a worldview.”
Pleased that “Making Sense of Your World” has had such a long life, Brown hopes the new edition will ready Christians for real-life situations. “My heart is that Christians know how to think deeply about their faith and are equipped to engage those outside the faith. Communicating at a worldview level opens doors that would otherwise be closed.”
