Douglas C. Robinette, senior vice president of Enterprise customer experience at Nationwide, is the first speaker for 2009. Robinette has served in numerous executive roles throughout the company. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University. Nationwide, a Fortune 500 company, is one of the largest diversified insurance and financial services firms in the world.
Robinette has also served as president of Nationwide’s exclusive agency operations, executive vice president for Nationwide's corporate strategy and president of Nationwide Strategic Investments. In addition he served as senior vice president of claims for Nationwide Insurance, senior vice president of finance for Nationwide Insurance, senior vice president of marketing and product management for Nationwide Financial, executive vice president of customer services of Employers Insurance for Wausau and executive vice president of finance and insurance services for Wausau. He joined Nationwide in 1986 after a nine-year career with KPMG Peat Marwick.
