Singers Represent Cedarville

Cedarville University hosted the Buckeye Chapter of the National Association of Teachers Singing Auditions on Saturday, April 4. Over 225 singers from Ohio colleges and universities were on campus to compete against one another. The University was well represented in the winners circle:

  • Freshmen Vienna Trindal placed 4th in the Freshmen College Women division
  • Lissy Cummings placed 4th in the Junior College Women division
  • Greg Gallagher won 1st place in the Sophomore College Men division
  • Catherine Stampfli won 1st place in the Sophomore College Women division

Cedarville faculty also participated in the weekends events. Dr. Taylor Ferranti, assistant professor of vocal music, presented a workshop entitled, "What's the Deal with Vocal Health?" Chair of the Cedarville Department of Music, Art and Worship Beth Cram Porter along with alumna Janelle Criner were featured performers at the Friday evening pre-audition recital. They sang duets from Bach to Broadway.
