Award-winning poet Srikanth Reddy will present a poetry reading at Cedarville University on Saturday, February 20, at 7 p.m.
Reddy’s first collection of poetry, “Facts for Visitors,” received the 2005 Asian American Literary Award for Poetry. His second book, “Voyager,” is forthcoming in spring 2011. Reddy has published poetry in numerous journals, including “APR,” “Grand Street,” “Fence,” and “Ploughshares,” and critical work in such publications as “The New Republic” and “The Chicago Tribune.”
Reddy graduated from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and received a doctorate in English literature from Harvard University. He has held fellowships with the Mellon Foundation, the Whiting Foundation and the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing. He currently serves as an assistant professor at the University of Chicago.
