On February 8 at 7 p.m., Chet Jenkins, adjunct professor of music at Cedarville University, will perform a saxophone recital in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center. Jenkins is an active freelance musician and classical saxophonist and has taught at Cedarville since 2000. The recital will feature the Ibert Concertino and the Desenclos Prelude, Cadence and Finale. The rest of the performance will include a piece from Japanese shakuhachi flute music, jazz, as well as a work in the vaudeville style featuring mezzo-soprano Janelle Criner. Stephen Estep has worked with Jenkins for 15 years and will accompany him on the piano.
