Jun Kim, assistant professor of music at Cedarville University, will perform a violin recital in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center on February 16 at 7 p.m.
Kim is an internationally known musician and conductor from Korea, having performed in Europe, Asia and North America. The recital will showcase violin sonatas by Beethoven, Grieg and Franck. The performance will feature the piece “Violin Sonata in A major” by Cesar Franck, a classic selection of violin and piano repertoire that Kim describes as full of “beauty, excitement, imagination, poignancy and drama.” Dr. Daniel Sachs, adjunct instructor of music at Cedarville, will accompany Kim on the piano through an eclectic program of classic violin pieces.
