Cedarville University welcomes Michael Kane, Ph.D., to the academic council. Kane will be serving as the assistant academic vice president of educational resources.
Kane received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri, his Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and his doctorate from the University of North Texas.
Kane has always been interested in management. While he was studying for his master’s degree, he was able to work in a management-related job. Because of this experience, his mentors encouraged him to pursue his doctorate. They also encouraged him to teach full time in order to be more effective in academic administration.
Kane was attracted to Cedarville because the University is interested in growth in many different levels; not only growth, but growth with quality. He enjoys working with fellow professionals who exhibit expertise in their work. He looks forward to helping Cedarville further its mission.
“I believe my experience and gifting enables me to make a contribution,” said Kane.
Kane directly oversees institutional effectiveness, accreditation, international student services, international studies and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). He develops, monitors and implements policies and programs for the academic vice president.
