Geoff Walker '82 currently serves as Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Premier Health Partners of Dayton, Ohio. His responsibilities include representing four large hospitals, three physician practice corporations, a home health agency, and several other health care companies. Prior to joining Premier Health, he served for six years at a litigation firm representing hospitals, physicians, municipalities, and corporations. Walker earned a J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Dayton Law School in 1986. He has served on a number of community service boards and currently serves on the boards of the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
In spring 2010, Walker participated in a panel discussion about the law school experience and the legal profession. He was joined by Trent Hamilton '02 and Carmille Akande, who serves as Cedarville's dean of multicultural and special programs. Approximately 50 current Cedarville students attended and learned about the types of law and how to choose and apply to law schools. The discussion provided excellent insight into this important field and included helpful suggestions on how Christians in the profession can be salt and light. Cedarville is grateful for alumni — like Geoff Walker — who make a difference for Jesus Christ in their spheres of influence and take opportunities to invest in our students.
Walker lives in Springfield, Ohio, with his wife, Valerie (Friley) '81. Their oldest child is a current Cedarville student.
