Cedarville University welcomes Brent Miller, M.Div., to the faculty of the department of biblical and ministry studies. Miller will be serving as an instructor of biblical studies.
Miller earned his bachelor’s degree at Cedarville University and his Master of Divinity from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He is currently completing a doctoral degree in ministry at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He served as an adjunct professor at Cedarville before accepting the opportunity to teach full time.
Miller has spent most of his life in academic settings, and he is excited to return to Cedarville in order to teach. He loves working with students, and he appreciates the dedication of his fellow faculty members.
“A lot of the people that poured into my life while I was a student are still here investing in others. I was thrilled to join them in this task,” said Miller.
In addition to his academic career, Miller spent the last nine years in cross-cultural and pastoral ministry. He and his wife served in China for two years, and he taught alongside missionaries in Azerbaijan and Romania. In addition, he has led several ministry teams to different countries around the world. He is enthusiastic about integrating his real-world experience into the classroom.
“My understanding of God and his world has been shaped by the privilege I have had to meet and work with believers all over the world,” Miller said. “I hope to share that global and practical experience and perspective with my students.”
