BIOETHICS CONFERENCE TO BE HELD AT CEDARVILLE

Cedarville is host to the 2010 Health Care Ethics Conference, Protecting the Vulnerable in the 21st Century, on September 15-17, 2010.

The public is invited to attend the 2010 Health Care Ethics Conference sponsored by Joni and Friends Christian Institute on Disability and the Center for Bioethics at Cedarville University September 15-17. The theme of this year’s conference is “Protecting the Vulnerable in the 21st Century.” Leading experts in the field of bioethics will provide biblical perspectives on the critical issues shaping the church, our health care system, and the medical profession.

There will be presentations by keynote speakers as well as small group discussions.  Topics include reproductive ethics, end-of-life ethics, genetic and biotechnology ethics and health care reform. Drs. Kathy McReynolds, Nigel Cameron and Christopher Hook will be featured speakers at the event.  Continuing education credits will be available for health care and social work professionals.

Two pre-conference sessions are offered free of charge to conference participants and the general public on September 15 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
