Cedarville University will hold two seminars for those involved in Christ-centered ministry.

Both events are part of the series Seminar Training to Equip People for Service (STEPS), a program designed to train, prepare and support ministry workers. Attendees will receive the Biblical foundation and theoretical framework necessary to engage leadership roles and ministry issues.

On Feb. 26., Tom Hutchison Ph.D., professor of Christian education will present “Leadership for Effective Church Ministries.” This hands-on seminar will guide ministry workers through the abundance of ever-changing ministry programs, curriculums and events. Attendees will learn to execute a “big-picture” plan to guide ministries in ways that will help people come to faith in Jesus Christ and grow in their relationship to Him and the community.

On March 26, Carl Smith Ph.D., professor of Bible, will present “Resolving Conflict in Ministry.” Using the book of Philippians, this seminar seeks to establish a wisdom model for handling conflict in ministry. It will benefit anyone who serves in a leadership capacity in church or para-church ministry, including pastors, youth pastors, elders, deacons, and leaders of specialized ministries.

Both seminars will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each seminar registration is $49. Special pricing is available for large groups. Refreshments will be provided beginning at 8:30 a.m. and during breaks. Individuals can pre-register to have lunch at a discounted price of $5.
