Although natural disasters closer to home have replaced the 2010 Haiti earthquake as front-page news, rebuilding efforts still frame the daily rhythm of life for thousands of Haitians left homeless by the destruction.
Travis Knipple '07 has a vision to use his technical skills to help the Haitian people restore their communities and their lives. Travis is the director of F1 Engineering, a self-described "group of 'enginerds' trying to make a difference in the world." The group, based in Johnstown, Penn., includes fellow electrical engineering grads Michael Anfang '07 and Silas Gibbs '05.
Travis' hometown newspaper recently featured Travis' work in Haiti. Read more.
