Cedarville University welcomes David Butgereit, M.S.N., to the faculty of the department of nursing. He will be serving as assistant professor of nursing.
Butgereit received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Cedarville University and his master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Cincinnati. He taught at Cedarville as a lecturer in the nursing department before accepting the opportunity to teach full time.
Butgereit is interested in psychiatric nursing and teaches behavioral and mental health care at Cedarville. He wants to encourage students to make a difference in the lives of patients, particularly those suffering from addiction or psychiatric problems.
He is the faith-based liaison and a writer for The Blind Project, an anti-human trafficking organization primarily focused on Southeast Asia. The Blind Project partners with organizations in Asia to offer employment and counseling to victims of the sex trade.
