A dedication service will be held on Oct. 5 to commemorate the completion of the Health Sciences Center at Cedarville University. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and will take place in the Dixon Ministry Center Jeremiah Chapel.
“This dedication is a celebration of an important milestone,” said Bill Bigham, vice president for advancement. “It is a recognition and celebration of God’s faithfulness to Cedarville University. This building is an important addition to our growing campus.”
The keynote speaker for the event will be E. Thomas Arington, chairman and founder of Prasco Laboratories, a privately held health care company specializing in authorized generic pharmaceuticals. Prasco is located in Mason, Ohio. Arington will speak on the value of health care as a means for sharing the Gospel, a theme well-connected to goals of Cedarville University’s pharmacy and nursing programs.
Other features of the event include an address from the president of Cedarville University, William Brown, Ph.D., words from the chancellor of Cedarville University, Paul Dixon, Ph.D., and a student presentation on the importance of the building.
“With its state-of-the-art technologies and advanced labs for students and faculty, this building is an important continuation of Cedarville’s advancement,” Bigham said. “We want to be the premier institution for preparing health care professionals from a biblical perspective.” The $22.5 million, 80,000-square-foot facility first opened for instruction this fall.
