Spring Concerts Presented by Cedarville's Music Department

The Cedarville University Department of Music and Worship is pleased to present the following spring concerts and recitals:

  • On April 12, the Instrumental Chamber groups of the music department will present an afternoon concert. The concert begins at 4:30 p.m. and will be held in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall.

     

  • On April 16, the Women’s Choir, under the direction of associate professor Beth Cram Porter, will present their spring concert. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall.

     

  • On April 17, the Cedarville University Symphonic Band, directed by Michael DiCuirci, Sr., senior professor of music, will present its end of the year concert in conjunction with the Brass Choir, led by Charles Pagnard, professor of music at Cedarville University. The performance will be a diverse display of both classic repertoire and new melodies. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center.

     

  • On April 19, the University Opera Ensemble will present their annual spring concert. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall.

     

  • On April 20, the Cedarville University Orchestra will present a concert. Jun Kim, assistant professor of music at Cedarville, will direct the performance. The concert will feature the winners of Cedarville’s Student Concerto Competition in three categories: piano, instrumental and voice. Winners will perform the pieces presented in competition. The concert begins at 8 p.m. and will be held in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center.

     

  • On April 24, assistant professor Jun Kim will present a faculty violin recital. The recital begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall.

     

  • On April 23, Concert Chorale, Men’s Glee Club and the Vocal Arts Ensemble will present an end of the year concert. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall.

     

  • On April 25, the Jazz Band, under the direction of senior professor Michael DiCuirci, Sr. will present their end of the semester spring concert. The concert begins at 4:30 p.m. and will be held in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall.
