Cedarville University welcomes nationally known Reverend Samuel Rodriguez to speak in chapel on March 29. Named the “leader of the Hispanic Evangelical movement” by CNN and identified by the Wall Street Journal as one of America’s seven most influential Hispanic leaders, Rodriguez has much insight to offer Christians around the world.
Rodriguez serves as president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and is regarded as one of the prominent voices in the Hispanic Evangelical community. Also serving as the lead spokesperson for the Hispanic American born-again Christian community, Rodriguez seeks to build the Kingdom of God. He has been featured in numerous publications such as the Washington Post, CNN, FOX News, Chicago Tribune, Christianity Today and the New York Times.
Since 2010, Rodriguez has also served as the senior pastor of New Season Christian Worship Center in Elk Grove, Calif. New Season is a multi-ethnic community that is Christ-centered, Spirit-filled and Bible-based.
Rodriguez serves on President Obama’s White House Task Force on Fatherhood and serves on the board of directors of leading evangelical organizations such as Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, the National Association of Evangelicals, Empower 21 and Christianity Today.
Rodriguez graduated from Lehigh University with a master’s degree in educational leadership and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in organizational management and behavior. He is also an Assemblies of God ordained minister. He currently resides in California with his wife Eva.
Rodriguez will speak at Cedarville University at 10 a.m. on March 29. The service will be held in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center. The event is free and open to the public.
