Cedarville University’s Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) offers a unique opportunity for professionals to further their careers. With a focus on excellence, stewardship, leadership and kingdom influence, the program will equip graduate students for success by exposing them to multiple facets of the business world.
The program has been designed to meet the needs of busy professionals, and courses are offered in flexible eight-week terms in an entirely online learning environment. At an affordable cost of $572 per credit hour, the M.B.A. program offers professionals the ability to customize competition and achieve personal goals.
The program also includes a global study tour, which introduces students to an international business environment.
“Today’s M.B.A. student will have to interact globally in one way or another,” said Dan Sterkenburg, associate professor of international business. “Students will benefit from a study trip that provides cross-cultural experiences in a business setting.”
Sterkenburg said study tours will include visits to multinational businesses, cultural centers and governmental entities.
The M.B.A. program will officially begin in August 2013. The program is designed for part-time completion in two years, and a full-time completion option is planned for 2014.
Lt. General Loren Reno, dean of the school of business administration, said that some of the unique aspects of the program include the fact that it is fully online, allowing students increased flexibility and the opportunity to engage with a group of faculty members who bring over 250 years of business experience to the classroom, and who teach important matter to capable students in a Christ-centered, godly learning environment.
“Students will be on a rock-solid foundation if they ground what they think, what they do, how they lead, and how they serve on God’s Word, and that’s what makes our program so special,” Reno said.
Sterkenburg said that the school of business anticipates expanding the M.B.A. curriculum in the future to include areas of concentration to broaden choices for students.
