A weeklong celebration of art, theater and music will begin March 28 when Cedarville University’s Department of Music and Worship presents “Arts Madness.” The event will be held in the Stevens Student Center and is open to the public.

Highlighting the innovative program will be a Pops Concert that will feature musicians from the Cedarville High School Choralation, the Celtic rock band Homeland, and Cedarville University vocal ensembles Jubilate, Concert Chorale, Men’s Glee and Women’s Choir. The University’s Orchestra, Jazz Band and Symphonic Band will also perform. Several other musical presentations, dance performances, an art show and a full-cast performance of highlights from “Les Miserables” will also be featured.

Tickets to the concert are $7 for students and $15 for adults. Tickets and registration are available online at cedarville.edu/artsmadness.

The celebration will continue throughout the week, culminating in the presentation of Cedarville’s theater production,“The 39 Steps.”

Michael DiCuirci, senior professor of music at Cedarville, said the university hopes to heighten awareness of the arts through the event.

“The goal of the event is to bring attention to the arts on campus and how we’ve integrated them,” he said. “It will be an exciting and memorable evening of music and entertainment and I hope we draw a great audience.”
