The Office of the Registrar provides counseling/advising for those who are having difficulty in determining a major or occupational direction. The majority of any incoming freshmen class will exhibit some form of undecidedness. At least a third of the class will initially be undecided. Half of those students who had a declared major when coming to campus will change majors at least once. It is not uncommon for students with a declared major to experience similar levels of uncertainty or tentativeness as an undeclared student.
