Student Employment Information

Getting Started Weekend at Cedarville

More than 1,250 students work on campus. Most employment opportunities are available with Pioneer Food Service (serving the dining hall, the Hive, catering at special events, etc.). For your convenience, we have set up specific times for you to be processed through Cedarville's payroll office and sign up for positions with Pioneer.

Food service employment sign-ups for 2011-12 will be held Friday, August 19 from 1-3 p.m. and Saturday, August 20 from 12–2 p.m. in ENS 210 on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring your course schedule so you can determine the days and times you're available for work. If you are unable to attend either session, please contact Becca Howarth, student labor coordinator.

The dining hall is open seven days a week and serves three meals each day. By accepting a work assignment, you are making a commitment to be at each shift. Additionally, your work schedule will have priority over Getting Started Week activities, so please plan accordingly. If you are unable to continue working during the semester, please exercise courtesy and consult with Pioneer management personnel.

Payroll office processing is available at the SSC information desk on Monday and Tuesday, August 22-23 from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. You may also visit the payroll office at another time, located in the lower level of Founders Hall.

All first time students are required to show the original documents of one of the following:

  • Original US passport or Photo ID (drivers license - student ID)
  • Social Security Card (no copies) or a birth certificate

If you interested in other campus employment opportunities, return to the Jobs on Campus page and view available positions. We encourage students who apply to contact the individual departments in regards to position openings once you arrive on campus.
