Cedarville University is sponsoring a student health insurance plan through United Health Care for students that need health insurance. This student insurance plan is a major medical PPO health insurance plan that is compliant with the new Affordable Care Act.
All full time undergraduate and P1 Pharmacy students taking 12 or more credit are required to have health insurance and are automatically charged this student health insurance. You may elect to waive this charge if you are covered by a major health insurance policy. Full-time undergraduate students who have comparable health insurance coverage can waive the University sponsored plan, however the Insurance Waiver Form must be submitted by September 6, 2013 (fall semester) or January 24, 2014 (spring semester). Graduate students taking nine or more credits with at least one class on campus may purchase the University-sponsored health insurance plan.
Important: If you want to waive the student health insurance plan, you must fill out the waiver form online by the deadlines listed above or you will be charged for the insurance. If you are going to accept the student health insurance, you must go online to enroll in the insurance plan and download an insurance card.
