CHAIR, Business Administration
The University seeks a talented Christian leader to serve as Chair of its Department of Business Administration (DBA). The DBA is ACBSP-accredited and is comprised of 15 full-time and 7 part-time faculty members serving 300 business majors and minors. The DBA offers programs in accounting, finance, global economics and international business, information systems, management, and marketing.
The department chair will provide strategic leadership to increase the department’s enrollment and expand its influence in offering undergraduate (and possibly graduate) programs of excellence. Responsibilities include leadership and administration in areas of strategic planning and budget management, curriculum and pedagogy development, faculty supervision and development, student advising, course scheduling, assessment, and departmental marketing and public relations. The successful candidate must:
• Hold a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in business (AACSB or ACBSP accredited institution preferred) • Be able to teach in at least one area of the curriculum • Have at least five years of full-time faculty experience in a traditional business classroom program • Have a record of publication in peer-reviewed outlets • Be able to integrate Scripture with both teaching and scholarship • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills • Be an evangelical Christian and agree with Cedarville University's doctrinal statement, community covenant, and general workplace Standards

Biology
Tenure track position in Zoology; responsibilities include teaching general zoology, a core requirement for freshman biology majors, vertebrate zoology, and invertebrate zoology, supervising undergraduate research projects, and advising undergraduate biology majors. Doctorate or ABD nearing completion required. The candidate must have a strong Christian commitment with an interest in the integration of faith and science. College teaching experience, research experience and publications preferred. Chemistry
Faculty position with responsibility for teaching first-year and advanced chemistry classes with their corresponding laboratories and for advising chemistry majors. Background in inorganic chemistry or biochemistry preferred. Doctorate or nearing completion of doctorate required. Interest and experience in developing an undergraduate research program is also highly desirable. Communication Studies/Debate Coach
Faculty member/Debate Coach to teach in the Communication Studies program of study beginning in the fall of 2010. Primary responsibilities will include coaching a nationally-recognized debate team, teaching upper level offerings in communication research, argumentation and debate, and the basic course in speech. Requirements include a Masters or Ph.D. (or ABD), strong debate skills, demonstrated ability to mentor and coach university students, and a desire to engage in the life of the department and University community. Department Chair, Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Cedarville University School of Pharmacy is in development, and the first class of prepharmacy students is enrolled and anticipating the Fall 2012 start of our professional Doctor of Pharmacy program. We are searching for a Chairperson for the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences to serve as the academic leader for the disciplines of pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and medicinal chemistry. If you are interested in using your qualifications as a scientist and educator to train future pharmacists to impact the world for the Kingdom of God through the profession of pharmacy, consider the Cedarville University School of Pharmacy.
The Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a 12-month, tenure-track faculty position that will recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty members within the department. This individual will oversee all instruction and research activities in the department as well as set expectations for high standards of professional expertise, effective pedagogy, appropriate assessment measures, and original research. As a Cedarville faculty member, the integration of Biblical principles with instruction and research is expected. The Chair will also have teaching and research opportunities.
Requirements for this position include a doctoral degree in pharmaceutical, biomedical, or pharmacological sciences. Previous experience in an administrative position is required with preference given to those with experience in higher education. Previous instructional experience within the profession of Pharmacy, and licensure or eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in one or more states is also preferred.
The development of the Cedarville University School of Pharmacy is contingent upon receipt of accreditation by The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, The Ohio Board of Regents, and The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Music/Worship
Faculty position in Worship in the Department of Music, Art, & Worship. Duties include teaching worship leadership courses and applied contemporary lessons in at least one of the following areas: piano, voice or guitar. Other duties include leading worship in Chapel as needed, student advising and recruitment, and continuation of research/creative activity related to area of appointment. Secondary areas of teaching may include, but are not limited to: Music Theory, Music Technology, and/or additional areas based on the candidate’s strengths and the needs of the department. Qualifications: Current and active practitioner in the field of worship leading with 5-10 years of worship leading experience. Masters degree or doctorate preferred. Successful teaching experience at the college level preferred. Video of worship leading (online or DVD) is required.
