Some people have asked the question, "Is Cedarville really a place for ministry preparation?"
Absolutely! In the 21st century, we believe that a well-rounded education that includes God's perspective on the arts, history, science, and politics is essential to fruitful ministry. The pastors and Christian leaders of past centuries were the best-educated members of their communities. We believe the same should be true today. Our faculty are prepared by their education, enriched through their ministry experience, and fueled by a passion to prepare leaders for the next generation.
We believe that a firm grasp of the Word of God and a transformed life are essential to effective ministry. Let us help equip you with a grounding in Bible study skills, language study in Greek and Hebrew, systematic theology, Bible interpretation, Bible exposition, personal evangelism, and a host of courses in practical ministry. This training will enable you to engage the world with the heart and mind of Christ. If you are serious about knowing God and his Word, then you are the kind of student we are looking for!
We appreciate your interest in the Cedarville University School of Biblical and Theological Studies! It would be our privilege to invest in your ministry training and help you prepare for a lifetime of effective service. Plan a visit to campus, sit in on a Bible class or two, attend chapel, and talk with our students and faculty. You will quickly agree that Cedarville is an exceptional place to prepare for ministry!
