First Step: Laying a Foundation for Ministry
Course Description
This seminar provides a broad overview of the Biblical and theological concepts that provide a foundation for Christian ministry. The Biblical story line is captured in a cohesive meta-narrative out of which theology naturally flows. Ministry and calling are examined in light of these foundations, and students are encouraged to explore and embrace their own calling to ministry. The final task of the seminar is the development of a personal theology of ministry related to the student's own sense of calling to a specialized ministry (whether pastoral, youth, children's, women's, men's, worship, etc.).
